REGISTRATION FOR HOME EDUCATED STUDENTS

  • The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) NAPLAN website for home educators contains important information for parents / carers who wish their student to sit NAPLAN in a non-school location. https://k10outline.scsa.wa.edu.au/home/assessment/testing/naplan/home-educators
  • All NAPLAN information and materials will be sent to the person designated as 'parent/carer' at the address on this form.
  • On receipt of this form, an acknowledgement email will be sent to the email address given below. Only students who are registered with the Department of Education and are age-equivalent to students studying in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 are eligible to sit NAPLAN.
  • The participation declaration section must be completed. All activities listed in the declaration must be carried out at the specified time for the student to participate.
  • All information, including student’s date of birth, must be supplied.
  • The student’s name will appear on their report as given on this form.

Disability adjustments are available for students who have a documented disability and for whom an adjustment is applied on a daily basis for learning and assessment. If you require a disability adjustment for this student, please contact the NAPLAN helpdesk naplan@scsa.wa.edu.au.

FOR YOUR CHILD TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ONLINE NAPLAN 2024 ASSESSMENTS, AT A NON-SCHOOL LOCATION, YOU (or your delegate test supervisor) MUST UNDERTAKE THE FOLLOWING TASKS WHEN REQUIRED BY SCSA:

  1. complete a 20-minute online test supervisor training course
  2. book online time-slots for the main NAPLAN tests
  3. test your student’s device to see if it is compatible with the online tests
  4. download and install the NAP locked down browser to your student’s device
  5. supervise your student sitting the Practice test.

I understand the tasks listed above are required to be completed by me (or my delegate test supervisor) in order for my home-educated student/s to participate in the online 2024 NAPLAN tests. I also understand that failure to complete all tasks will mean the registration of my student will lapse.
