NATIONAL ASSESSMENT PROGRAM – LITERACY AND NUMERACY (NAPLAN) NAPLAN 2026 registration for home-educated students

The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) acts as the Test Administration Authority (TAA) for NAPLAN in Western Australia. Complete this form to register your student to sit the NAPLAN 2026 online tests at a non-school location and submit by Thursday, 5 February 2026

  • The School Curriculum and Standards Authority’s website contains important information for home-educators who wish to sit NAPLAN at a non-school location. https://k10outline.scsa.wa.edu.au/home/assessment/testing/naplan/home-educators
  • To be eligible to sit NAPLAN in a non-school location, your student must be registered for home-education with the Department of Education and are age-equivalent to students studying in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9.
  • The administration of the NAPLAN 2026 online tests delivered in non-school locations will be shared between you and the Authority’s NAPLAN helpdesk. The NAPLAN helpdesk will manage all platform administration.
  • Supervisor training information, practice test information and test session codes will be sent to the nominated ‘Test supervisor’ email address.
  • The student’s name provided on this form will appear on their individual student report.
  • All activities listed in the declaration must be carried out at the specified time for the student to sit the NAPLAN 2026 online tests at a non-school location.
  • On receipt of this form, an acknowledgement email will be sent to the ‘parent/carer’ email address provided below.
  • NAPLAN test materials will be posted to the person designated as ‘parent/carer’ at the address provided on this form.

For your student to participate in the NAPLAN 2026 online tests in a non-school location, you (or your delegated test supervisor) must undertake the following tasks when required by the Authority:

  1. Complete a 20-minute online test supervisor training course.
  2. Book test sessions for the main NAPLAN 2026 online tests in March.
  3. Test your student’s device to confirm that it is compatible with the online tests.
  4. Download and install the NAP locked down browser to your student’s device.
  5. Supervise your student sitting the Practice test.

I understand the tasks listed above are required to be completed by me (or my delegated test supervisor) in order for my home-educated student to participate in the NAPLAN 2026 online tests. I also understand that failure to complete all tasks will mean the NAPLAN registration of my student to sit the tests at a non-school location will lapse.
